I don't want to argue on superiority of one over other at all, as it's very obvious. But recently I am seeing a lot of patients who are mislead by physiotherapist doctors who without even getting a preliminary investigations start treating pain. Many a times exercise and stretching is sufficient to relieve mild amount of pain along with some modalities like acupuncture and Ift. But some of those patients have severe Osteoporosis or Vit D deficiency or heck, recently my colleague told me that one physio Dr was treating a multiple myeloma patient for back pain for 3 months and then frustrated he came to my colleague.
Isn't it criminal? Shouldn't they first ask patients to get an ortho consult before jumping in on cashing on their pain. I need an opinion from members and fellow doctors what do they think of these doctor physiotherapists and share your experiences about such instances if…
