In 1990 itself I made the finding that Diltiazem a calcium channel Blocker is useful in Parkinsonism and published a letter to Editor, Journal Of Association of Physicians of India as “Diltiazem in Neurology”and was published. I have explained the reason for action in the article. The same was presented in Fifteenth Scientific meeting of International Society of Hypertension, Melbourne, Australia in 1994 as Diltiazem in Parkinsonism with Hypertension- Two in one role. So, the discovery or rather invention was made in India related to use of Calcium Channel blockers in Parkinsonism long ago in 1990 itself.
