Students Offered AYUSH As An Option In Revised MBBS Syllabus

Undergraduate students seeking admission in MBBS can now choose AYUSH as an elective subject from the academic year 2019-2020. The decision was taken by the Board of Governors (BOG) who are responsible for overseeing all the activities of medical colleges. The initiative aims to provide the opportunity for allopathy students to understand the AYUSH system of medicine. However, the course is not mandatory for any student.

The syllabus will be implemented from August while the AYUSH ministry is responsible for mediating the 3-month module. This implementation could be a mediator to collaborate AYUSH and allopathy system of medicine. Source- Hindustan Times
