A 30 yrs male patient married for 4 years and has no children, his wife's hormonal & USG reports are within normal limits. He underwent a semen analysis and the result showed azoospermia. The patient had undergone a b/l hernioplasty few months before his marriage. Post operatively, he had a rare complication of right ischemic orchitis. So, the right testes became shrunken.
They eagerly want a child of their own. Is there any hope for him? I referred him to an andrologist for having procedures like TESA, MESA, testicular biopsy. Is it beneficial for such a patient? Please suggest further Ix & Rx.
