There are 45,000 Indian doctors in the USA, and 25,000 in the UK. They are highly regarded for their clinical acumen, hard work and integrity. Some are in leadership positions including policy making in these countries. Paradoxically, the country where they are produced, India, is reeling with medical manpower deficits at every level.
