The recent unfortunate incidence of deaths in family planning camps in Chhatisgrh is the tip of iceberg, which appears at the surface and we all including the media and medical fraternity are making hue and cry on it. Now this whole unfortunate incidence is under judicial inquiry and the truth should come out. These types of camps are frequent all over the country, and 90 percent of time the women are the so called beneficiary of these camps.
These camps are stark truth of the gender bias in our society, where the women are forced to the potentially hazardous procedure, though we have much safer and relatively easy process for men.
