A 13-patient had a viral-like illness 15 days ago. The paediatrician said that he had only minor lymph node enlargement in the neck and would subside automatically as it may occur with a viral throat infection. After 15 days he came to me c/o neck and throat pain. There were a lot of lymph nodes enlarged, all-around 150, 1cm to 2 cm, 2 LN in each axilla, 1 in each popliteal fossa, none in inguinal areas. No spleen and liver enlargement seen. The investigations are posted please help.
ESR 11cm, CBC Normal, MT awaited. I had treated his grandfather for Tb and he died. His father is under my treatment for a lump of 10 lymph nodes. He has responded very well. Is the infection mononucleosis?
