The US FDA has approved icotrokinra, an interleukin-23 (IL-23) receptor antagonist indicated for the treatment of moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis in adults and pediatric patients 12 years of age and older who weigh at least 40 kg who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy. Clinical evidence In a clinical study involving 2500 patients, icotrokinra demonstrated a statistically significant higher proportion of patients achieving clear or almost clear skin compared to both placebo and deucravacitinib.
