My nephew is a diabetic on oha and good glycemic control. One morning after returning from regular walking, he had sweating and weakness of rt.upper limb and headache and vomitings. He was hospitalised and investigated. Bp 140/70,rbs 140mg/DL.MRI BRAIN revealed watershed infarction of mci territory. ECG, 2D echo, and lipid profile and renal profile CBP were found to see within normal limits.
He recovered in 6days the full power of the affected limb 5/5.He is 43 years old and not on blood thinners or statins. He is now prescribed clopilet A 150 and Aztor 80 mg..Why did he have watershed infarction? Controversial statement of hospital staff and treating nurophysicion that the pt.had a clot in the brain vessel. Pl.discuss and clarify.
