After the heart wrenching incidence of newborn twin baby wrongly declared dead, there is rising concern among physicians regarding handling such situations. Thus, IMA has issued an advisory for doctors on when not to declare a patient as dead. Recently, the unfortunate case of newborn babies is making the headlines. The twin babies were born prematurely and declared as dead by a New Delhi hospital, but the family shockingly discovered that one of the baby was alive on the way to his funeral.
In this regard, the IMA has warned the doctors NOT to ever declare a patient dead under conditions of hypothermia .
