A woman has complaints of low-grade fever with body aches. Thermometer recorded her temperature 98 F. When an effort made to convince her that it is not fever, she told every doctor called her psychic without considering her normal body temperature of 96 F. GPE: she has perspiration on the face but body temperature 97.8 F. Investigations: CBC, TCL 8200, N 52, L 38, E 8, B 2. KFT normal, fever panel: malaria, dengue, typhoid negative.
Urine pus cells 7 - 8 per HF. Patient was on amoxicillin and clavulanic acid combination for last 7 days for lower respiratory tract infection. The patient was advised to take PCM as and when needed.
