What Is This Guideline About? WHO has published updated guideline for the management of latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI). The latest guidance consolidates a number of guidelines on LTBI management and provide the basis and rationale for the development of national guidelines for LTBI management. Previously, there were two fragmented recommendations for the management of LTBI. These new guidelines provide comprehensive set of WHO recommendations for programmatic management of LTBI in people living with HIV, household contacts of people with active TB, other groups at risk of developing TB, and for LTBI testing.
