Doctors need to be competitive as students otherwise, it's impossible to get into medical college. However, even when we start the medical practice, we usually continue treating other doctors as competitors, rather than as professional colleagues. We often criticise them (usually in private, behind their back), and rather than work with them, we try to pull each other down.
It's because of this lack of unity, where we are always trying to do one-up on our peers, that the medical profession finds itself at the receiving end of so much flak. What can we do to fix this? Give your opinion.
