My article is derived from a news piece I came across surfing the net. The topic was interesting, and I found some interesting connection with my past experience in my early practising days. In my way of story-telling, the article proves the fact that we can relate to abstruct things with real fcts of our lives...here it goes: Doc , will it cause Cancer if I Cosume it? Years back, while still in my early medical career, I happened to be sitting with a leading local pratitioner in my area.
He was senior to me in medical college. I watched an elderly man walking out of his room, only to return minutes later with an anxiuos look, and his anxiety was revealed when he asked : "Doc, the vitamin pill you have just prescribed....is it okay to consume? Will it cause cancer?" It caused disgust in me hearing this stupid question, and expected a snap by my senior Dada ...but I found it amusing…
