Five doctors, including the dean of one of the Government Medical College, were booked at the police station on Wednesday for allegedly abetting suicide of a 24-year-old resident doctor. The victim had ended life on Tuesday by jumping from an under-construction hospital building. The accused were also booked under Prevention of Atrocities Act following allegations levelled by the father of the deceased. The complaint was lodged by 56-year-old deputy engineer in Dakshin Gujarat.

Police booked 2 senior resident doctors in the surgery department, head of surgery, dean of the College, and head of the department of forensic.
