Gone are the days when medical profession was considered to be a noble profession and doctors feel proud to be part of it. With the passage of time, its image has been ruined and now finally in public opinion doctors have become greedy, thieves and corrupt. As a doctor what I can review the entire scenario of medical practice the causative factors include an application of CPA and its exploitation by the public with the instigation of our own colleagues against each other. All this led to rising physical assaults of doctors.
Apart from quackery, lay persons indulged in unethical practices for earning money and defaming doctors in hospitals. Only government can check these evils of a profession.
