I've done M. B. B. S. & M. D. (Pharmacology) from Grant Medical College, MUMBAI. Specialized in Diabetology from S. L. Raheja Hospital, All India Institute of Diabetes, MUMBAI. I practised as Diabetologist from 1985 to 2007 prior to joining at BMPMC, Bijapur. I also worked as a Medical Advisor with Ipca Laboratory from 1987- 1990.
