Time and again the we read news about xyz doctor punished or warned for doing marketing in one or another way. Now I read somewhere about MCI asking doctors not to publish details on any website and it will be considered as a form of marketing . MCI has got clear guidelines for this and we must follow, there is no doubt about it. I was just wondering while seeing lots of banners and bill boards by corporate hospitals every where and lots of ongoing advertisement on FM radios that "Do we have something like guidelines for this hospitals?" An individual doctor no way can compete with this giants by having facilities and equipment at par anyway.
The strategy seems to market directly to the patients by passing traditional model. Small or big aliments go to corporate hospitals directly is the message conveyed to society.
