The achilees heel of Pancreatico Duodenectomy is the PJ anastomosis.More than 80 techniques of PJ has been decribed in literature.This indirectly points out to the fact that none of them are 100% and reliable.However in my institute where pancreatic fistula and morbidity used to be a common phenomenon after whipples surgery,the rate has decreased to nil in the last 8 case we operated and used the DUNKING procedure as a method of PJ.Strange but with the same pre and post op care,the qualitiity of which is substandard,and our institute being not a high volume centre I am amazed at the results. Please share your opinion.Do you feel dunking is a safe PJ anastomosis with low leak RTE or you have points against it?
