The cops along with the drug department recovered sample medicine worth ₹1 crores from a house in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. This huge quantity of sample medicines was being sold to the quacks in the rural areas. According to the report by these officials, almost 50 sacks were obtained from the house. The superintendent of police while addressing the press conference told that, while checking for vehicles in Hasnapur they seized 3 sacks of medicines from a car.
All these medicines were labelled as “Physicians samples” and “not for sale”. When the cops grilled the driver, he said that he got these medicines from Delhi to sell them to quacks in the rural areas. It was found that this person was also running a medical store in partnership with another person from Sambhal.
