A 2-year interim analysis from the JADE EXTEND phase 3 study, published in the Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, evaluated the long-term efficacy of abrocitinib in more than 1700 adolescents and adults with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD). Patients received abrocitinib 100 mg or 200 mg once daily. The study showed rapid clinical improvements as early as Week 2, with responses continuing to increase through Week 48 and remaining durable through Week 112.
At Week 112, EASI-75 responses were achieved by 84% of patients receiving 200 mg and 78% receiving 100 mg, while complete skin clearance (EASI-100) was observed in 26% and 21% of patients, respectively. Around one-third of patients achieved minimal disease activity, defined by near-complete skin clearance with little or no itch. Up to 80% of patients achieved mild disease status (EASI โค7) by Weekโฆ
