It is the leading cause of death in acute MI and in the absence of highly experienced technical care, mortality rate among patients is extremely high. Complications associated with cardiogenic shock are cardiopulmonary arrest, dysrhythmia, renal failure, multisystem organ failure, ventricular aneurysm, thromboembolic, sequelae, stroke, and even death.
