A dreadful self-proclaimed statement shocked the medical realm regarding a “procedural error" that may have caused the mixing of the wrong sperm with the eggs of about 26 women at an IVF unit in a medical institution. The appalling statement “During fertilization, sperm cells from one treatment couple may have ended up with the egg cells of 26 other couples” is really spread a shock-wave. After realizing this, the medical institution has launched an investigation at this IVF laboratory.

The investigation revealed that one of the technicians didn’t followed the standard procedure for pipettes used to insert sperm into eggs.
