When I tell people that I am doctor, first thing they ask me is about my handwriting. I have to tell them that my handwriting is very good. Thank you very much. I have seen it generalized that if you are a doctor, you have bad handwriting. Even pharmacists are skeptical, if patient provides prescription which has legible writing on it.

They don’t consider that we have to write same repetitive prescriptions number of times, or that we have long patient queue waiting as we write patient prescription. Nowadays, life is easier with the electronic prescription system. Still I do not have that facility available in my hospital. How do we change this long time belief of people? Has anyone else had similar experiences?
