History A 45-year-old man was driving to work when a cyclist swerved in front of him. He deviated but crashed the car despite forceful braking. The car was crushed and the brake pedal had to be cut to free his foot. He was taken to the hospital. He mentioned that his foot was extremely painful. Examination The patient says that he has pain only in his hind foot.

On examination, he has a closed injury with significant midfoot swelling. He has no neurovascular deficit. He had intense tenderness proximal to the midfoot.
