After challenging the union health minister for the open debate on NMC bill, the AIIMS doctors have now started a protest campaign against the Union Health Ministry’s proposed National Medical Commission (NMC) Bill. This protest involves public along with the people from the medical fraternity. The AIIMS Resident Doctors Association (RDA) have also initiated a signature campaign which will involve the public as well as patients and their relatives, who visit the outpatient department [OPD] of the hospital. Moreover, the doctors and the hospital staff will also be approached to join the campaign.

The doctor’s association feels that there is a great need to explain public about the reasons why doctors are opposing this NMC bill. The doctors will make people understand that this will have a negative impact on allopathic doctors and health services being offered to them. Along with the…
