Ambulance Association to go on a one-day token strike, on July 11. This strike would be observed in Punjab, Chandigarh, Delhi, UP, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Himachal. The National President of Jeewan Rakshak Bhartiya Ambulance Karamchari Federation mentioned that they have already submitted a memorandum to Union Health Minister demanding the ambulance service employees in all the states under the National Health Mission (NHM) on June 21. After an alleged multi-crore ambulance scam, the Rajasthan government had to cancel a contract.
Such irregularities have been found in some other states as well.
