Case presentation A 44-year-old man presented to the physician with a chief symptom of weakness. He states that he recently recovered from a sore throat that started one week ago, but since then, he has developed fatigue and global weakness. The patient fell one day ago and hit his head ; he points the fall to his weakness. However, the patient denies other neurologic changes, such as headache, vision changes, sensory changes, focal motor weakness, and dizziness.
Fluid and nutrient intake were noted to be normal. Medical history: A remarkable medical history of hypertension and dyslipidemia was recorded.
