Case presentation: A 75-year-old man presented to a dermatologist with a history of a groove on the left fifth toe. The groove was associated with pain and disability. Medical history: The patient had a history of controlled arterial hypertension. Physical examination: A constrictive band was seen on the distal phalange of the left fifth toe.
Skin biopsy: Evidence of dermis fibrosis was observed without active localized scleroderma.
