Prilocaine ointment includes prilocaine 2.5% and lignocaine 2.5% ointment 1hr before, helps in the painless earring, nose ring Insertion in children and adults. Apply prilocaine 2.5% and lidocaine 2.5% ointment on the piercing area at least 1 hour before. Apply densely on both sides of insertion. No need of the massage. Leave for 1 hour.
Painless Insertion is possible in children and adults. I request everybody to use this for painful procedures like intravenous lines, drawing blood samples etc. in children and sensitive adults who get vasovagal syncope with needle pricks.
