The CHIP (Complex high-risk Indicated Procedure) Centre at Aster Medcity has been receiving quite a few patients who have High Bleeding Risk (HBR) and require angioplasty. These high-risk patients have multiple co-morbidities, active bleeding, and often other medical complications. The management of such patients requires medical expertise, multidisciplinary team involvement, and judicious use of medical technology. The use of standardized HBR and bleeding criteria, appropriate strategies in stenting, and bespoke dual antiplatelet strategies can optimize clinical outcomes in such precarious clinical situations.
