The study conducted in Menzies School of Health Research has found that the platelets kill 60% of malaria parasites in the bloodstream. This study published in journal Blood. The major malaria parasite species like  Plasmodium falciparum, P. vivax  and  P.

malariae  are infecting a human. The study shows, the platelet peptides ‘PF4’ will become a treatment for malaria in the near future.
