My question is very simple as we being allopathic physicians spend (5.5+3 years) in gaining expertise to understand the disease, understand the mechanism of action of a specific drug and understand how to diagnose and treat a given patient and disease. He spend 3 years for doing SRships, fellowships and thereafter gaining superspecializations even. Whereas on other hand a homeopathic and ayurvedic doctor who is hardly aware of even potential ADRs of a given drug is prescribing same drug in his or her clinic and OPD.
I understand managing a patient in emergency condition by an ayurvedic or homeopathic doctor by any person is good as it could be a life-saving step. But treating patients in routine OPDs and clinics by these doctors who are taught less about these drugs and taught less about various guidelines related to managing a patient on allopathic medicines is acceptable?
