Do you think the current NRI fees for MBBS are reasonable? Govt medical colleges charge around 75 lac - 1 crore from NRIs, in dollars in many cases! Pvt colleges charge up to 1.5 crore. NRIs don't have state quotas in most states and not all of them are rich.

120 out of 124 NRI seats of Punjab were unfilled last year because the fee was 75 lacs! Is it not the time for govt to rethink its policies? We have a dearth of doctors but will a person getting MBBS in 75 lacs serve in India?
