Multiple Myeloma ( MM ) is a malignant disorder characterized by uncontrolled proliferation and accumulation of malignant plasma cells in the bone marrow . This also leads to the crowding out of the normal plasma cells that are primarily responsible for fighting against infections. Although MM is considered to be an age-dependent condition, the exact etiology of the disease is still unclear. Due to its nonspecific clinical presentation , the diagnosis of this condition is often challenging , especially during the early phases of the disease.
