A government-run trauma facility in Bengaluru has delivered an unusual result in surgical care by maintaining a zero rate of surgical site infections over several years of high-volume activity. The trauma and emergency care center at Victoria Hospital has performed 31,780 surgeries between 2017 and 2025 without recording a single postoperative infection.
