A recently developed consensus guideline focuses on the following areas: Indications for use Contraindications for acute pain How contraindications for acute pain differ from that of chronic pain Ketamine as an adjunct to opioid therapy Patient-controlled ketamine analgesia Subanaesthetic dosage range Non-parenteral forms of ketamine Source: Schwenk ES, Viscusi ER, Buvanendran A, et al.
