“There can be life after breast cancer. The prerequisite is early detection”- Ann Jillian Breast Cancer Awareness Month is marked worldwide every year in October. This awareness month aims to increase the knowledge, attention, and support for the early detection, treatment, and palliative care of breast cancer. The global prevalence of breast cancer is rising exponentially, with over   2.1 million and 627000 deaths annually.

It has now infamously earned the title of the ‘most common cancer in women’ worldwide. The incidence in the low- and middle-income countries has been rising steadily in the past years owing to the increasing life expectancy, urbanization, and adoption of healthier lifestyles.
