Comprehensive non-pharmacological interventions extend the management of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) well beyond the use of bronchodilators. Pulmonary rehabilitation, including structured exercise training and breathing techniques, improves functional capacity, reduces dyspnea, and enhances quality of life. Smoking cessation, nutritional optimization, vaccination, and long-term oxygen therapy are key interventions that reduce exacerbations and disease progression.

Patient education, self-management plans, and psychosocial support empower individuals to recognize early warning signs and seek timely care. Together, these multidisciplinary approaches significantly improve outcomes, decrease hospitalizations, and promote long-term disease control in COPD.
