Among them is an endocrinologist who treats mainly diabetes thyroid and other endocrine disorders we are here mainly concerned about diabetologist treating DM. Now, it is the duty of treating diabetologist for a patient of DMto ensure that patient has undergone periodic ophthalmic evaluation so that patient does not land into ocular complications at the same time it is also a duty of patient to keep all records of annual periodic examination.
