Blood in the subarachnoid space may be due to     Primary intracerebral hemorrhage in which the bleeding occurs in the brain proper and which reaches the subarachnoid space or the ventricle by bursting through the brain substance   Or a rupture of a meningeal vessel or aneurysm which may be spontaneous  or traumatic   ocular  manifestations of s a hemorrhage are due to cerebral compression and meningeal  irritation  they are as follows   Pupil abnormalities   Nystagmus  Conjugate deviation of eye  Paralysis of cranial nerves   3rd nerve paralysis is very common  Retinal hemorrhage  Papilloedema Share your views
