The budget for the year 2019-20 was presented by union minister for finance Mrs Nirmala Sitharaman as her first maiden budget. It was expected that Government will spend more on health at least 2-3 % of GDP but it was not reflected although Government promised Anudan Bharat and it's allocation increased but still not enough to provide health as promised under scheme with such allocation. Health sector had great expectations from the budget with respect to an increase in healthcare expenditure. But once again, health did not seem to be of priority as there was no mention of health directly.
