The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination has been recommended for women as a preventive measure against cervical cancer.1 However, the vaccination coverage is still far inferior to other routine vaccinations such as tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis, and meningococcal conjugate vaccine. This reluctance to take the HPV vaccine stems primarily from certain myths about the vaccine.2 References 1. Schmuhl NB, Mooney KE, Zhang X, Cooney LG, Conway JH, LoConte NK.
