The Union Health Minister J P Nadda while addressing in Gorakhpur said that, by 2022 all the people up to the age of 30 years will get free health check-ups and medical treatment. The government is transforming primary and community health centers to attain this goal. More than 20,000 health centers are made so far. Mr. J P Nadda said, “Earlier, campaigns were run after a disease had already spread but under the Modi government, arrangements were made to control the spread of diseases before they struck.
Enumerating the achievements of the Union government, the minister said. In the past four years, 118 medical colleges have been set up and 18,635 medical seats added.” Mr. Nadda also mentioned that the National Dialysis Program had benefitted almost 11 lakh people in just 4 months.
