Hi, I am a practising psychiatrist and many times my patients are not able to follow up in time because of various reasons. Many of them request for online consultation via Skype or email. Recently, I read in the newspaper regarding a pediatrician giving online consultation following the Chennai floods when diseases will be high but people may not be able to reach hospitals.
Hence, I am curious to know that can psychiatrists give online consultation and prescription for new as well as follow-up patients? What are the legal implications involved?
