Researchers evaluated the safety and efficacy of the BCG vaccine in preventing COVID-19 among an at-risk population of COVID-19-unvaccinated individuals with type 1 diabetes.
A total of 144 individuals were enrolled in the study and randomly assigned to BCG or placebo groups over a period of 15 months.
