A 60 years old villager woman came with extreme weakness and severe anorexia suddenly, one month before she alright, I had examined. On investigations Hb 7.8 gm%, CBC normal, X-ray chest normal, USG of abdomen shows two haemangiomas in Liver and small many hypoechoecic areas in spleen. On giving iv iron she became normal (400 mg) + Levofloxacin 500 mg for seven days . Now, after ten days she c/o fever every day, has to take oral paracetamol round the clock.
Now her spleen is palpable but soft. Are these small splenic abscesses are responsible?
