A 65 years old man was diagnosed as acute on chronic pancreatitis. He is known diabetic and had acute pancreatitis one year ago. Since then on advice of a doctor, he is taking a combination of metformin and Sitagliptan. Now pt is hospitalized for the last one week.
u/ s, CT scan had pseudo cyst of 70*50 mm, amylase slightly raised, lipase normal. Sitagliptan has been reported to induce acute pancreatitis. My query :- Is it true in this patient also? What is the future line of management of diabetes in this patient?
