In recent few days, there are many incidences of physical assaults of doctors at different places including residents of paediatric ward of CMC Ludhiana, residents of medicine and surgery of MAMC New Delhi and very recently private hospital of Vaishali in Ghaziabad. This issue was discussed on several occasions in different forums which remained futile. Remedial measures suggested are. Adequate securities must be provided in the hospital.
CCTV cameras must be installed at different places. Doctors must have unity. Stringent Laws for punishing people guilty for assaults of doctors must be made. Apart from these measures negative role of media in building the worst image of medical profession and interferences of political people in the medical profession in prescribing generic medicines, reduction in the price of medical equipments through media created an image of the medical profession…
