Case presentation A 65-year-old female presented to the OPD with complaints of general fatigue and sinusitis-like symptoms. She also complained of being tired and sick all the time and having suffered from fatigue and a back-to-back yeast infection over the past few weeks. She also reported feeling thirsty. Past medication history: Prediabetic, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity, varicella Allergies: Shellfish Medication history: Bumetanide (0.5 mg) and Simvastatin (40 mg) Family history: The father died of a heart attack at 52 years of age.

The mother had T2DM and controlled hypertension. Social history: No alcohol consumption; however, she has been smoking half a pack of cigarettes/day since 17 years of age.
